If that was really Imran Khan’s philosophy then it’s a stupid philosophy. Bat first no matter how bowler friendly the conditions are? No! You put the opposition in and exploit the conditions and get them out cheaply (around 200 max). Then you carry on with that upper edge over the other team. Unfortunately Pak has wasted these opportunities. But that doesn’t mean you start taking the even more risky route of trying to bat first in seaming conditions. against ENG bowlers.. who are made for this exactly this.
