im already taking pregnacare tablets, which have lots of vitamins in there, but i want something xtra for acne prone skin and my hair..my hairs suffered recently and has fallen abit i want that bounce back and some life..im eating a good diet too now..but want some help
however i want something that wont harm me or my baby if i concieve…
if you're already taking a multivit, i don't think there's much more you can do. it will contain iron and b vitamins.
take some vitamin c daily too (even twice daily) it will help absorb the iron from your diet and multi-vit = good for the hair. vitamin c is also apparently good for skin regeneration.
for your hair, the best thing is lots of protein; other than meat; fish, eggs, green vegetables and lots of nuts!
Don't take additional vitamins if you are taking pregnacare. You will notice the daily percentage written on them, most of them are 100% and you don't want to increase that. Unless you are recommended by your physician, don't take additional.
yeah talk to your physician first, but Ive heard great things about the vitamin Biotin. Its water soluble so it should be ok plus its specifically for hair, nails and skin.
you can try some omegas like fish oil or flax but be careful sometimes they break you out but they are so good for you so do true them. other then that you can try a good multi with antioxidants in it
umm Pareezay i think you should consult your doctor about that.......a friend of mine had the same issue..... so the doctor gave her new tablets some kind of multivitamins but major zinc.......and now she is all good again :) plus keep oiling your hairs and stay away from sun as long as possible
^ Excess amount of Vitamin A and E, which are said to be essential for healthy skin, nails, and hair, in your body can actually trigger hair fall and cause dry skin and brittle nails. That's why when someone is prescribed Accutane, which is a derivative of Vitamin A, the common sideeffects they are told about are excessive hair and very, very dry skin.
If you are taking a multivitamin already, then try taking some omega 3-6-9 pills or fish oil pills. Incorporate nuts, seeds, fruit, and vegetable in your diet that will fare better than any multivitamin, IMHO.
^It was the fish oil (heard it's really good for hair and skin) that made my hair fall along with a regular M-Vit. I didn't take anything else besides those too. Now that I have stopped with both, I have seen major changes.
Yeah, I'm too afraid to take too many multinutrient pills at one time because fat soluble nutrients have tendency to deposit in body and can cause adverse effects.
It's always better to have a healthy diet plan than any pills. One shouldn't rely solely on these pills to provide ALL the required nutrients.

Very true. Eating right is the best solution instead of depending on pills to suffice.
i used to take vit C (for immune boost), omega capusules( for more energy, focus n good skin) n iron (on doc's recommendations) in addition to prenatal vits. among of these all i loved the aftereffects of fish capsules. they made my skin glow n body full of energy
