Ok , so my wardrobe for both upcoming weddings so far is,
Wedding 1
Mehndi: dress with kaliyan and gota work on it in it and chooridar pyjama
Barat: Yet to order when I go (barat going a long distance)
Valima: Saree
Wedding 2:
Mehndi: Yet to order when I go
Barat: Long dress wwith pearls and kat dana kaam, kaliya frock with cullottes
Valima: Saree
What should I have for the “yet to order” days? Bear in mind one barat I havn’t prepared for is going out of Lahore about 3-4 hours drive!!!

Like the sound of a gharara, just not sure if I can have it made in just a few days. We'll see.

I remember visiting Panorama centre years ago, they had lots of unstitched embroidered suits, does anyone know if they still have them?
I am just planning ahead to see if I can buy ready embroidered suits in case time is a problem. What about Ichra do you know if they have unstictched embroidered suits?

Ok girls, I am back from my trip to Pakistanm remember 2 weddings I had to attend and all the stress going through my head.
So........I did get the final outfit made for one of the mehndis, it was a purple and green dull antique A line sirt with loose trousers, I loved it , it turned out just lovely ...only thing wrong was they made the colour green and purple instead of red and purple but I still took it as they could not have made another in a few days and it did still look nice. Also I got more money knocked off for their mistake.
Make up......hhmmmm I went to Hamnaz for one day and promised never to have make up done again only hair style. I am able to do my own make up very well but I just wanted to not stress with it with the light problem but thanks to Allah the light problem didn't get in the way and I did my own make up, just went to the parkour for hairtsyle and eyelash application and was happy with the results.
The clothes for all other days also after being stitched were just gorgeous I was so pleased with everything alhamdulilla.
I also managed to fit in some summer shopping in between all the wedings, and the weather was very nice, daytime got warm if out and about but it was pleasant in the evenings , nothing to wory about for me. :)

hi girls i ve been back from pakistan recently and i only stayed for three weeks in which i had to visit couple of places too i bought 20 suits indulged myself into lawn from bareeze and ka***** suits now when it came to sewing i went to darzi and he said baji 1800 for one suit which is simple i said bhai give my order back sorry i ll come later on and i ended up bringign all unsticehd suits back to uk and now as i myself can sew really good with designing and latrum patrum so i ll be quite bussy this summer!!!!!!!!

Gosh Jia your're really brave brining all your new suits back unstitched, why didn't you shop around for a tailor that wouldn't charge so much? Just curious that's all, enjoy sewing them and yes please do share the pics of your creations with us :)

thing is that when i was 17 i started to get idea of what fashion is u know know how of fashion and in that respect i stidied sewing then i was so overwhelmed by that that i feel more happy that i sew my clothes myself rather than any darzi coz i learned it and i can make anything that makes my excitment level bit high when i m thinking of the idea of designing the suit of clothes for myself, reason is there was one really good tailor who was so cheap but he gave me time after first week of april which was my return dates anyway i had no choice rather than bring all the blob with me until i ve sown two long shirts from bareeze will be showing soon inshAllah , its hard to get time specialy with kid and u know ghar ka kam sham but this is me i m defo gonna stich all of them by summer but there r some they need more which i ll be doing along on top of that i need to do some embriodery too on one of the suits shall i make a seperate thread or post here as soon as i complete any projects what do u say my lovies??

A seperate thread for all your' creations would be fab, I can't wait to see what you make, I wish I could sew :(
My mum was and still is a dab hand at stitching and she would always try and get me interested in sewing, she would cut the suit and I would sew but after I made a few mistakes and would have to unpick the stitching I would loose interest, the only time I could sew well was when I was pregnant...almost like a food craving when I wanted to sew and I managed to sew myself a few maternity outfits.
I used to have my clothes stitched from a tailor in Lahore for a few years he did my clothes then he started charging far too much and I now have my clothes done by another tailor who is very reasonabely priced and gives on time. Let's see how long he will last lol
