what to wear

I am looking for something to wear to a wedding. I dont want it to be too flashy or too expensive as I would like to be able to wear it again. Could you reccomend any websites? Or maybe some designs I could make myself if its not too complicated. Im in UK.
At first I thought try a saree I’ve never worn one before but is it easy to do and what about the tops can you get the type that dont show any flesh?

Re: what to wear

A sari is a nice idea.

Re: what to wear

a simple nice salwaar kameez and a DUPATTA on the head rather than sitting on the shoulders, should do it. (its also non revealing) - purple / blue

Re: what to wear

Hey,

wearing a sari for the wedding day can be quite tricky, depending on how comfortable you are with carrying a sari. Have u worn it before? secondly, please dont take the palloo on the head, it looks very strange, you can have a seperate dupatta made with it.

do check out some sari designs by usman dittu, usually found in visage (magazine) they're quite good.

hope it helps.

Re: what to wear

tricky...but defintely get a pant suite outfit that you can wear to parties and stuff not only weddings..sari's is kinda too much no?

Re: what to wear

I think sari is a good idea. Its really popular among young galz these days.Yes u can definitely hide flesh. It depends on how u wear it.Some galz wear them with full sleeves t-shirt n u wont believe it looks trendy n gives u that very slim look. These days saris r sewn in a way that u don't hav to worry abt the falls etc.

Re: what to wear

capri with a short kameez and dupatta traditional/modern at the same time - make the kameez thora fancy, capris zayada say zayada should have a slit at the sides and a patti - make the dupatta a bit flashy to make the suit look shaadi ka type - you can wear it without a dupatta at some parties and all..
