I never wear shalwar kameez coz it's so uncomfortable to travel in! Never wear any jewels either apart from a watch. Cannot imagine how people can travel in party wear shalwar kameez/ make up/ jewels!

i wear shalwar kameez like comfortable one..and take a cardigan cos it gets chilly...and comfortable shoes...cos u do have to walk quite a bit....i wear my earings wen i land...but u have like bracelet on through out unless they annoy me...make up is a waste of time loll...u need to redo it before u land anyway...haah...and i always take a hair band or hair grip in case its hot wen u land...

whenever I go to Pakistan, I always see all the girls/women dressed in pants/shirts, sweats... as soon as they announce we'll be landing soon, everyone rushes to the bathrooms, and comes decked out as if they're going to a wedding. Its an absolutely amusing!!! :)

So THAT'S the reason air hostesses keep pushing me away from the Businessclass...and allllll these years I've been thinking it's the letter 'Y' typed onto my ticket...HA!

Nope never happened to us with any airline.
LA to Lahore is one freakishly long flight. I dress in jeans and layers on top. Also Keep my pjs in carry on too.

i don't have any nice shalwar kameez so i'm gonna wear western clothes but I'll be wearing large chadar with shalwar kameez after i buy some from fortress, inshaAllah.

I'm probably going offend many people here......but living in the UK, it is always the Mirpuri's that get decked out in their "finest" clothes and jewelry when they go back to Pakistan, while the rest of us tend to be dressed in lawn/cotton suits.
sigh if I got a pound each time I saw a female (young or old) wearing white socks with high-heeled sandals, I would be a millionaire.

Well I guess we can learn how to dress up nicely when out from mirpuris. personally i will never wear lawn ka suit when i'm travellin, it gets all squashed up and looks funny.

twinkletwinkle... i never get swelled feet because i move them around every hour or whenever i remember to keep the circulation going
my mom and sister end up with some swelling because they sleep a lot and i am usually awake so i get to move around more too ... try it next time :)
