Can any1 give me ideas as to what kind of styles and colors to wear to mushairah? Someones recommendation was white anarkali w/ churidaar or anything in white… any ideas?

Why only white? You can wear anything you want. Anything semi formal or even these newest dressy lawns would work well.

simple, plain silk sari.

simple outifit with a pashmina shawl as an accent point.

NOoo! Choori daar is WAYYY too much. Wear your regular evening wear stuff. I've been to many mushaira's and no one dresses any different from how you would dress for any other social evening. You just want to make sure the clothes are lighter and not for shadis etc. Classy is better than chic though, because of the kind of event it is.
