A good friend’s sister’s wedding is coming up. I am close to the family but not that close…ummm…on a level of 1-10 with 10 being the closest, I’d say we’re at a 6.
So what should I wear to the mehendi and nikkah/rukhsati event?
Any suggestions?

It really depends Nikki on what the bride's sisters are wearing. I guess the rule is if you're super close to the family, you dress up just as much as the family. If you dont feel that close then go a notch below the sisters. Regardless, people show up wearing what they want to wear and are comfortable with.
For the wedding, I would do a really nice sari...for the mehdni I would wear a nice peshwaz or shalwar kameez that isnt as heavy as the bride's family's clothes.
I have a mehndi coming up and Im wearing a gharara...I dont care...I just want to dress up! LOL!
