Going to Lahore. What is everyone wearing these days? Can we wear chiffon in the evening? Can we wear jeans? How hot is the weather? Thank u for your help.
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
It is hot and HUMID, its pleasant when it rains though. Lawn is your best bet. Chiffon has lining which is uncomfy to wear unless you are in air conditioned environment.
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
Too hot for jeans! Harem pants should be fine or palazzo pants
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
Agree with dooree, it is so hot that I can't even think of touching my levis. I brought a few trousers and jeans to wear around the house but it is scorching. Eventually went and got some lawn shirts with cotton palazzos, definitely cooler. Chiffons are NOT comfortable at all in this weather. Hopefully you will have a generator where you are going, because the power outages are pretty painful too.
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
Palazoos are so in these days and in this hot weather its such a relief to wear something loose. Tights are in too but gets pretty hard in this weather especially with load shedding. Certainly no chiffons. It'll make you sweat like crazy and just become messy!
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
Where can you get palazzo pants from in Karachi?
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
edit
Yes palazzoz are in and very comfy too, i have them almost in evry color and wear with long,straight/A line style shirt or knee lenght long, lawn shirts..chiffon can be worn ony with malmal lining, still it woulb be uncomfortable in a non Ac environment... formal style lawn suits (with palazzos/wide bottom pajamas) are recommendede for such environmt...
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
panache from where did u get those palazzo pants in khi ?
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
i HAVE IT MADE FROM MY TAYLORS ...
if you like you can check them at my fb page or group
or at my thread in bazar section, I think posting links here would come under advertising so ibetter not :(
I have seen some ready made palazzos and they were really pathetic and certainly were not the palazzos also ...
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
You can see some interesting palazzo pants by Pakistani boutiques Sara Maniya and FSN Dressline…
Re: What to wear in Pakistan
Get it made from your tailor, mine charges about 700 for each, don't get elastic all around the waist. Also, I have seen street vendors selling these for a few hundred rupees too, but those are knits, not cotton.
