Assalamu alaikum
We will be going for umrah soon inshallah in february and I m just confused as in what to wear . Most people I have heard wear abayas. But I m a little confused because I have never worn an abaya and don’t wanna be uncomfortable while doing umrah and all .. but f it’s easy I’m ready to wear
Can I wear shalwar kameez with long namaz duptta /khimar?
Also any other tips are appreciated

In my opinion Abaya is more comfortable than anything I believe. Try wear Abaya before going to umrah. Keep the length of it above feet. I assure you that it would make you feel safe and comfortable while doing ebadah traveling and performing In šāʾ Allāh (إن شاء الله,)

Abayas are very comfortable and very convenient. You don't have to iron them which is especially useful during fajr time. I usually had my pajamas underneath.

I agree with those above. Get a simple, plain one...nothing fancy or embellished. Wear something easy underneath. Before you go practice wearing it and praying in it around the house.

When we went i wore abaya and found it very comfortable. i am not used to wearing long dupattas in namaz style because it gets uneasy for me to move around my hands in dupatta. So abaya worked for me and also you can wear very light clothes underneath. My mother wore shalwar kameez with namaz style dupatta as she finds that more comfortable.
