when we try to assess someone’s whole person, to think if we can include them in our social circle, or possibly close friends,
how do we tell. what do we look for, to know about their character, without asking them?

I suspect she wants to assess them discreetly.
She's asking what signs you would look for in a person's nature to form an opinion about them.

I think it's very difficult to accurately form an impression about somoene until and unless you see them in trying circumstances.
Perhaps when they are having a particularly difficult day, or when they are frustrated and angry.
If you can tolerate someone when they are in the worst moods/situations, it is likely that you will be able to handle them in good times.

ahhh i cant revel my secrets, of course for deeper probing I would need to find out what type of milk, you know red crown, silver crown, gold crown, what type of sweetner if any, and how much etc, warm or cold.

You got it, specifically as u allow for environmental situated controls vs. internal situated and thus give benefir of dooubt to the party whose character might be out of the ordinary when someone meets them and forms an impression based on what is seen.

I believe if we stop judging people and start respecting them for what they are, we can know them better.
