Mine are age 7, 6 and 4. My 6 yr old has a classmate whose mom just went thru pregnancy and birth, he (and ALL the classmates) kept wondering how/where the baby will come out etc. I kept telling my son that its a bit complicated, he doesnt need to know or worry about it till he gets a little older etc. But that didnt satisfy him apparently cause the other day he VERY proudly told me that he KNOWS where they come from…“they come from the mama’s in-GINA!” and upon further questioning, he actually kinda knew what an “ingina” was!!!
I almost fainted. I guess I didnt tell him enough?
I would tell them a little bit of the truth ..not something that's completely made-up so incase they hear stuff from other kids..it matches upto what yu'v told them and isn't completely different.
Like telling them it comes out of the mommy's tummy...isn't going to far? I think. I am not too good with this stuff.
my 7 yrs old was telling me sometimes back how babies come out of the "urine place"!
I left it at that, but i think i better explain to him before he gets more stories from the elder cuzins!
As Lusi suggested, explaining to kids using books wud be a gud idea!
Lol i know this is embarrassing but mom only used to tell me that allah se ate hain bachey so i left it at that but when i was in grade 4 we used to study about fishes and all that and another kid told me that babies come when mommies and daddies lay down together on the bed, just like male and female fishes go close to each other and i was like what:eek: i believed that till about grade 7 when i was damn shocked:eek: now its cool!
