What to Read When You're Expecting

So what books did you read when you were expecting, besides the old standard What to Expect When You’re Expecting

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

There was was one book that was given to me by my doctors office. I forget the name, but it was great along with the What to Expect series.

You can also register on babycenter.com. They send you weekly updates via email and they are awesome. I still get updates from them so many years after pertaining to my kids at whatever age they are in.

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

I spent lots of time at babycenter dot com (sorry I dont know if this is a no-no to post lol) but they have photos of what baby looks like in-utero at each week with explanation of whats developing and going on. Very informative and amusing!

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

i also used to do that.and got excited that wow abb aissa hoo gaiya hoo gah:cb: well for reading nothing much .mera poora dihaan khanai peenai pai hota tha:omg:

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

I like the Baby center book a lot more than the What to Expect book. Books by Dr Sears are really good. I also spend a lot of time on the forums at ovusoft.com.

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

naik pareveeno... quran paro aur naatein suno... allah allah karo :D hehe

man i havent done jack like that and i feel soooo bad..

what am i reading? anything to do with babies... anywhere i can find it. the one we got from the hospital has pretty much answered all my questions from child production to delivery to raising the kid until its 7! its an amazing book but a danish production only handed out by hospitals... so not available for sale.

Me too! but I only did it with my first one and then in my 2nd pregnancy I didn't have time to read anything.

I read these books so far they very good
1-What to expect when you are expecting
2-A pregnancy week by week

Both are good books and there is lot of material online available which is good.I subscribed from babycenter.com and there were many sites even Enfamil or pampers site give lot of information.

Here are the links I like “week by week” better than “what to expect” but they both are good read
Amazon.com: Your Pregnancy Week By Week 4th Edition (Your Pregnancy Series): Glade Curtis: Books

Amazon.com: What to Expect When You’re Expecting (Revised Edition): Arlene Eisenberg, Heidi Murkoff, Sandee Hathaway, Heidi E. Murkoff, Heidi E. Murkoff: Books

Re: What to Read When You're Expecting

Here are some more that are also supposed to be good, Im putting them on my list of what to read:

  • Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy by Mayo Clinic
  • The Pregnancy Book: Month-by-Month, Everything You Need to Know From America's Baby Experts by Martha Sears
  • The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy by Vicki Iovine
  • Belly Laughs by Jenny
  • The No-Cry Sleep Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the Night by Elizabeth Pantley

I read a lot of Danielle Steel books! Lol.

I read the entire Quran before labour day and would read Surah Maryam every single day as the story is so touching and elders encouraged me to read it daily as well as other prayers.

Also read many pregnancy books.
