so this year is the first time we will be celebrating our birthdays as a married couple, alhamdulillah.
my question to you all- what do i do for him AND get him as a present?!? i want something sentimental and cutesy. i know i could write him a poem or burn him a cd of his favorite songs, but i want something more!
i’ve already gifted him cologne, clothes, watches, shoes, etc, etc on previous birthdays and i know he doesn’t need anymore of such.
i was thinking of taking him out to a nice, romantic dinner and baking him a cake…but am stuck on what to get him :(.
if he is IT professional get him som latest device … or if he doesnt hav a laptop get him 1 latest stylish kinda lappy ..i havnt met him so cant tell u exactly wht kinda of taste he had ..n wht he likes to get …
if he’s financially stressed, dont get him anything! instead just go out for dinner and make him feel special..
other than that, get him something he can actually utilise… ive been married for 3 years, so i know about all the presents that the hubz has made no use out of :halo:
Yeh I agree, if he's financially stressed don't spend a lot. The best in that case would be to make a special meal at home or go out for dinner but not to an über expensive restaurant.
YOUR right…lol…my father almost never uses anything we get him or that my mother gets him. He always looks at the gift with an interested absurd look in his eyes like he has never seen a shirt/cologne/teddy/laptop/slippers etc before…
What does your husband like? Is he into playstation? Latest technology (computer, cell phone, etc)? For these two things, you can give him a gift card for Best Buy, perhaps. Or if you want to get him something more personalized…try going to the store, Things Remembered. You can get him a personalized pen set…with his name and a message engraved. Or a personalized coffee mug, computer mouse, computer mouse, etc. There are many cool and affordable items. Here’s the link to the store. think of something that he hasnt been able to do lately..
maybe u could both have a nice getaway to a spa resort? men love massages as much as we do.. and im sure u cud both use a little pampering.. men love home-cooked meals (atleast my hubz does), so i cooked all his fav. food, covered the whole apartment in streamers and balloons that i lost all my oxygen blowing up.. and surprised him at night all decked out in pretty clothes and makeup.. he loved it!!

oooooooh, i love this idea :). he really likes home cooked meals and rest/relaxation after long and hard days at work, so this is something i could definitely do!
as for things remembered, best buy, etc- i've already got him customized key chains and cuff links that just sit in his drawers :). he JUST used the best buy gift cards yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff for his computer and other technical gadgets!
lol, i guess i'll buy him basic necessities like socks, undershirts, boxers (which i know he will use!), cook up a nice meal and decorate the place...oh, and look nice ;).
thanks guys!
any suggestions on what to cook? what about dessert?
it was my hubbys birthday last week and i got him a driving gift...Aston Martin Experience.....he loved it, we had a nice day out, it was brilliant......
just go out for a meal...rather than cook at home...u should enjoy his day as much as he does
surprise him by not getting him anything...he has you what else does he need now
^
thats a thought, lol but i still want to do something and make him feel special. he told me last night not to get him anything (clothes, cologne, etc) because i always get him tons of stuff and we're saving for a house, inshallah so to put his gift money towards that. that makes me love him even more....but i want to show him i love and appreciate him :).
