No, there’s nothing wrong with saying have a nice day. Its just very American. Fanny means something else here! We call them bum bags…although no one uses them any more, so why you would want to say that is beyond me!
I’ve never actually been to Manchester myself! Yeah, there should be some sun, but its more likely to rain, so be prepared for sunshine and showers.
