Re: what to do??
first try to get that glow back by improve your diet n adding some supplements. it won't come alone with make_up. for make-up tacts, keep visiting to sephor or mac get help from ladies there. just play around n u'll get better at it. yes it does need some practice but ladies do learn this art fast :)
Re: what to do??
why haven't the tutorials helped? i mean, have you looked for ones that just show you how to do the basics and stuff?
so basic things are, knowing how to best apply the type of foundation you are using; whether it's powder, liquid or creme.
what sort of product do you have for glow? are you also using a bronzer?
i don't think one needs too much contouring and highlighting for everyday makeup but you will achieve a little as the glow product will always be applied in places one would highlight. bronzer for contouring.
eyes are probably the easiest. the older we get, the more simple we need to keep it and be gentle with the skin around the eyes.
Like stoppit mentioned.. contouring isn't for everyday use. Eyes can be lined with neutrals or deep colored eye-pencils. Play around with makeup and colors. Get the 'glow' from within by eating properly and taking good care of u're skin.
Play around with different types of blushers and bronzers.. video tutorials are pretty detailed. Practice practice and practice!
coccoo, tell us what products you are using and what exactly you are having difficulty with.
- after prep-ing your face (toner, moisturiser), you need to do the base as required. so, that will be tinted moisturiser, foundation or powder, depending on the amount of coverage you need and the look you want.
- a staple is an eye brightening pen (dior skinflash or ysl touche eclat); not only is it great for brightening the eye area but it can be used for some subtle highlighting.
- you also need a base for your eyelid; normally i would suggest a MAC paint but i would recommend something a bit lighter for you so you don't tug at your eyelid so much - therefore a much creamy product that can double as colour on your lids.
- to me, highlighting and glow are too different things, for example, i'd highlight my brow bone or cheekbones, whereas for glow i'd use bronzer in a subtle way. the key to a glowing look is the right shade of bronzer (not too orange or brown) applied very gently in key areas. it will give you the sunkissed look. it shouldn't be noticeable, so you can still use coloured blush.
once the base is done, you can add some colour.
