A question for all the married girls and ladies …
what did you do to your hair after the wedding? I have kinda frizzy hair … and from my experience during my engagement … the salon set your hair nice … but looks HORRIBLE afterwards.
I was wondering … after shaadi … what should I do? Wash it right afterwards (I would rather shower in the morning..), but then I would have wet hair … orrrrr … if I do shower at night and blow dry my hair .. my hair would get VERY bad when I shower and blow dry again the next day. I am kinda worried about that. Any help would be great!
heheheh :) the amount of hair spray they use is just nuts and your hair does look crazy.
I wouldn't worry so much, i'm sure your husband will help you take out all the pins, use a brush to tame it a bit and then it should be fine for the night. The spray wiill help it not be too frizzy, it'll just be BIG so getting it to stay down will take a bit of work.
But i honestly think most guys realize that and aren't too bothered so wouldn't worry.
zainabq-LOL! its funnie because i wonder about the exact thing though i am not getting married or anything. But i always wonder what do the girls do with their hair which are abused by the salons for the wedding-lol. I know i wudnt be able 2 sleep with the sakht hair...i mite even nt go for the gels n sprays for my hair styling...cant the bride just have her hair blow dried n straightened or curled or wateva w/o having the spray n gels used!?!.
HAHA! Well at least you are thinking about it from before. I didnt even think about what would happen to my hair until I started getting undressed...taking out pin after pin after pin AFTER PIN and then being left with such BIG hair -it was so hilarious! I just tried to smooth it down as best I could but it was still stiffish so I just said what the heck, I'll just wash it in the morning. Gave us both a good laugh. My husband will still be like sometimes, hey remember how big your hair was on our wedding night?! HAHAHA
honestly, you're so tired, all you want to do is take out the pins from your hair and relax. if it really bothers you, you can jump into a hot shower and just let it detangle on its own before attempting to shampoo it.

Khala had back-combing and said it took her 2 hours plus lots of hair loss to untangled all that mess! :D
I dont remember my hair being a mess after my rukhsati but the nikah one was a different story. I actually didnt take out the pins after my nikah and slept like that. The next morning, the hair style was still in place, thanks to all the hairspray.
Like SGC said, you are mostly just so tired that the thought of a shower is too overwhelming. Just smooth it out as much as you can and shower and blow dry in the morning.
aren't there products called detanglers in the market?
There are de-tanglers on the market which are wide toothed combs which might help..
On my wedding night - i took out all the pins and tied back my hair into a pony tail and you wouldnt have noticed that i had so much hair spray - next morning had a shower as normal. As SGC said, you will be too tired to have shower so just rest and .... ;-)
uh i dont remember when it was my time but i did have hair and makeup done for two weddings afterwards. bth times, when i had the backcombing done, i just undid the backcombing… and my hair was just SO HUGE i LOVED IT
heeheheheheh.....ive been wondering the same thing...this helps so much......cuz of course one would be tired from the wedding......and not in the mood to spend a million hours fixing ur hair
just the thought of backcombing scare me. i have very weak hair, is there a way to get a nice hairstyle without back combing??? @prototype, did u applied conditioner before of after shampoo, if it is before shampoo than you just apply conditioner and rinse it off and than shampoo???

your skin needs to breathe! the makeup they put on is so heavy, its a big relief to wash it off at night. your face actually feels lighter and so much better!
oh i have heard horror stories of taking makeup off on wedding night, but i would never ever sleep with it. not only that my skin won't breath, also the eye makeup runs off and make dark circle under your eye.
