What To Do WIth The CGPA B/W 2 and 2.5

One who wants to start the career with the cgpa between 2 and 2.5, what should he/she do ?

1) convince himself that what has happenned has happenned and the past cannot be changed, now he needs to look forward and make the most of the future :) graduating with a degree is in itself a huge achievement :)

2) find a job, any job he gets, work hard, learn on-job skills

3) change job as he gets a better offer and keep moving ahead

hmmm... interesting post. I'll give you the answer after a year when I'll graduate with more or less same CGPA :)

But first you need to find out that could be the reason for your low GPA? You only know 'what' about your GPA, you should think about 'why' as well. When you'll come to some 'why' part, automatically a few ideas will come into your mind.

The GPA in itself doesnt really affect you for many jobs. I also had a low GPA on graduating, but I have gotten some great job offers in the past because a lot of companies dont look at your GPA. I also got into graduate school with that GPA, so it doesnt affect you too much if you have done other things, and mostly if you have the desire to do well in whatever you do.

Dont worry about it dude..just show you are willing to learn..good pracitical intern exp is a plus..I was in that range for undergrad, and I still got into grad school and got a masters too :hehe:

you have three choices

1) Kill yourself

2) Lock yourself in a room, cry your eyes out at the prospect of making copies for two years while those who actually studied in college are doing something productive.

3) Earn your worth through hard work. Better late than never

I know many who have CGPA around 3.4 but they miserably fail in their career.

many companies did'nt like the Graduate with High CGPA ..they are more bookish

Depending on your interests, your GPA may or may not be considered as strongly. At this point, you should look back at the GPA and try to identify the problems..did you study as hard? Did you have enough time? You should not look back to feel bad, but instead to move ahead. In the job market, there will be some opportunities that you will be not considered, but there will be many more where you have a good chance. In your interview, highlight the skills and job related experience and try not to focus on grades.

Once you have found a position somewhere, try to do your best because from the first day of your job, you are working with a clean slate. You might have co-workers who performed very well in college but it does not mean that you can do as equal or a better job than them!
Always take additional classes to keep up to date or enroll in a part time masters program to move ahead. If you do the best job you can do, then sucess is guaranteed.

Good Luck!

Maybe this guy/girl thinks that 2 - 2.5 is a high number. why are you all assuming that this kid is depressed cuz he/she lost their scholarship?
