And it ain’t the nice kinky sex kinda obsession either.

So far the Indian media has tried to cause drama in the Pakistani cricket team based on no evidence and tried to create rifts between Pakistan and china based on no evidence again.

Along with the failed attempt to malign Pakistan and with a fishing boat and these awesome Indian GPS trackers, it seems India cares more about Pakistan than Pakistanis do.

So what does one do in such a case?

I think they show what their audience love to watch so the obsession with Pakistan goes in their roots. Its disgusting, shameful and what not but I doubt if there's anything we can do about it. Regardless of their media malfunctions, Pakistan should still strive to keep better relations with India NOT because of any other pressure but more cuz the country needs it. We are way far behind economically and you cant boost it without making things better with neighbors

I get some of the Indian news channels and they're quite melodramatic about pretty much everything. That's how they operate so I wouldn't worry about them.

Indian politicians and political parties must have hatred against Pakistan to win elections, the lesser the hatred and venom the lower the chances for them to win

Indian in the Press of Arabian Gulf State, if a Indian is caught, then it is reported as an Asian... whereas if a Pakistani is remotely connected with any crime, they do make sure that the Identity of the guy doesn't go unnoticed.

above are few and are universal truth about Indians, and then they say that they are not obsessed or they do not care about Pakistan... it seems like they have only one thing to think about... that is Pakistan..

I don’t disagree that the India media is obsessed with Pakistan, and the reason for that is the volatile history the two countries . However, lets no kid ourselves - the “obsession” is there on both sides -

please don't kid yourselves guys. i watch Pakistani TV channels and read articles more than any one of you. i know how much Pakistanis are obsessed with India. Pakistan's unity is due to hatred to India. if India is out of the equation, Pakistan's unity is at stake.

you can imagine the Pakistani media obsession by this unnecessary and childish lead report on Pakistani TV channels where they show video of Dhoni and his team mate going through the security check at one of the airports in Australia. they had to take their shoes off and due to some metals [coins, belts etc]. now, the lead report spills hatred by saying:

"Dhoni ne bhale hii match jeet liyaa ho magar vo aur unke saathii airport par dhar liye gaye aur security waaloN ne unke joote tak utarvaa liye...unko aam shahriyoN jaise treat kiyaa gayaa ... blah blah blah"

is this a news and let alone the lead news? those who fly know full well that these are normal procedure going through the security at the airports.

i guess they forgot when IK and SheiKh Rasheed were detained at the airport in the US upon their arrival.

well, you can make a counter argument but i know for a fact that how obsessed Pakistanis are with India.

I did see the question which is why I was surprised that you asked such a question given my post. The obvious reason is that you did not bother to read the linked article that I posted. Let me recap the key points of that article -

  1. Pakistan cannot afford India as lasting enemy, yet agitators won’t let leaders make peace

**So while I agree with your original assertion that Indian media is obsessed with Pakistan (for reasons mentioned above), Pakistan state is also obsessed with India as the former Pak ambassador to US mentions.

Bold bit is complete and utter nonsense and BS. Most people here love our country and would do anything for it whether or not India exists or not. Unbelievably bigoted statement to make.

A pigeon farts in India and its blamed on Pakistan, ofc our media also likes to point fingers but no way can be compared to Indian media. Our country is too much of a mess to worry about India.

Brother it may be a reaction from immature pakistani media, but still the fact is indians as a nation are obsessed with pakistanis. See you watch more pakistani channels, i have many indian colleague who are obsessed with negative news about pakistan infact apart from bhatkallys all other indians are like this.(havent met a nationalist sort of bhatkally- met quite a few)

Go to hajj and umrah, and first things indian muslims ask is kitnay ka package tha,humari government to itnay ka daitee hay.

khair khalli walli with them. We pakistani can learn so many positive things from them as well.
Anyway this is some thing avoided.

Yes, that does explain the comparatively lower media obsession with India in Pak. But one cannot deny that Pak state's policies are pretty India centric.

A country we have had three wars with and lost a chunk of territory to it would be common sense to have our policies India centric. To not do so would amount to stupidity.
