I know many Morroccans with the name Amelle... it is pretty common in french speaking arabic countries like algeria, egypt etc....
Amelle is a form of the name Amel (which is unisex) and is a variation of the Arabic word 'amal' meaning meaning hope and expectation...... so yes it's true....
And if you can only find one website with it, it means that the name is not common place in the west... so you can be the first to take it over ;)
