What to do when restaurant totally messes up your order?

I dont know if this belongs in Lifestlyes 2 or not.

So I ordered Chinese food today and I specifically asked the lady on the phone for Vegetable Spring rolls and maintained that I wanted everything to be vegetables. I felt she understood this because she suggested the Vegetable fried rice to me which I declined. I also ordered soup. So I get my order delivered and I am horrified to note that there is what I believe to be chicken in the spring rolls. Not only that, but the soup also had chicken chunks. I was soooooooooo depressed. Cause I couldnt eat anything except the plantains. afsoos

I dont know what to do now. Do I call the restaurant and tell her they gave me non-vegetarian? Not only that, she sent me two soda’s instead of one, so it was more expensive than I thought it was gonna be. (My mistake for not asking the total over the phone.) Do I just ignore it? I mean what can they do even if they admit their mistake? What would you do? I spent about $14.50 for plaintains and soda basically. sigh It isnt about the money, just that I didnt get to eat dinner. This is a new restaurant that just opened in the area. afsoos

call them back and get a refund or same food with double the quantity.

no one messes up my food

Normally they are ok but what you have to remember is these places aren't like Mc D's or Pizza Hutt where there is a manager in charge who will noramlly give a refund and apologise because he gets paid regardless.

The place you bought off is prob owned and run by a family who can't afford to make mistakes and could think you are trying it on to get a free meal - maybe Im wrong but they prob have this all the time.

One rule I have when it comes to eating out - Never p!ss off anyone who is cooking my food - you never know what extra's they may give you free of charge...!
