so my fiance calls his mom, “mom” and his dad “dad” i just cannot call them that as i am way tooooo cultured. so im thinking to call his mom mummi or ami idk and his dad im completely stumped.
what are some names i could call them? is it weird to call them something my fiance doesnt?
calling them uncle/aunty is out of the question

My fiance calls his mom 'maa' and his dad 'baba'. I call my parents mom and dad so I think about this too. I think I'll just end up calling his mom 'maa' too, anything else will be awkward to transition into, especially since you start out by calling them 'uncle' and 'auntie' and since he calls them to begin with, it wont be any different. He calls my parents auntie and uncle and I dont think he'll change it once we're married.

Yeah my fiancee calls his mum and dad 'mum and dad'..and i don't have no idea what to call them.. :/ i call my own mum mama! so i'll probably just call his parents same thing as him?
