well as you all might know or may not know that i will be getting married soon 
and i have been given an option to buy some jewellery now. i have not made my dress yet so i wouldnt know about the type and patterns of embiodary on the dress. but i have fix ideas about what type of gala and colours i am choosing for my wedding day. so is it a good idea to buy the set now and bangles later or shall i buy the bangles now and set later. everyones opinion is appreciated. many thanks

buy the dress firtst. It will make jewelry shopping easy. The colour of dress, embriodary, and the colour of embriodary are important factors to know before you buy your jewelry. If the embriodary is in dull colour you don't want to buy bright gold or sliver or vise versa. I think you should buy the dress first.

you can do it either way buy the jwellery and then get the outfit or vice versa. i personnaly think it better to buy the outfit first because then you can match your jwellery with it i have brought my walima outfit and now i am looking for a nice sent to go with it, ii depends what you want to get gold or artifical. if i was u id get the outfir first because i think that is the major thing once you have the outfit the rest isnt so bad.

You may also consider the usage after your wedding day. You will most likely be wearing the set many more times than the outfit so you may want to go for a set you absolutely love and then match an outfit. As far as color goes, after you've picked the style of jewellery you can always have them add the beads that match best with your outfit so it will look coordinated. All the best :)

do the bangles and jewelry set really have to match? I got bangles a couple of years ago. I just made sure they were in a dull gold cos I didn't want sparkly gold even if it was in fashion at any point in future. When the time comes i'll just get a matte gold set. I don't care if the design differs so long as the look is the same.

i dont think u really have got to match the necklace with the set but to some extent you can like having the same shade of gold or any stones that u have used in the necklace you could have them in the bangles.
recently i am coming across lot of different styles of necklaces and i was wondering which one to choose? there is this ghani type which means the necklace is close to ur neckline and there are long haar type - away from neckline and longer in length which we have seen in umrao jaan and taj mahal. so do u think i should make a haar kinda set or ghani sort of set?

How about both, a small gani with a long haar? That seems more easy to wear again afterwards.. if not that, then one of those double sets, with a choker and larger necklace, would be easier to wear again afterwards

milli, it depends on personal choice but i chose my lehanga first and then the bridal necklace so i could get matching beads in it. But my choorian and gold sets were made in advance.
Femme, my gold bangles dont really match my gold sets but thats ok because
1) i wore the artifical set with matching beads on my wedding so the choorian didnt/couldnt match the necklace set.
2)After the wedding, you dont really wear your necklace with bangles all the time so who cares.
Btw, on the wedding day itself, the bride is soooo decked up, i dont think anyone really notices what your choorian look like.
