STUPID questions and statements…
I live in an apartment building and the laundry room is shared
Today morning as i was about to put my laundry into a washer, a gentleman (who probably used that washer before me) said to me (i think he is italian ) “Was this empty when you put your cloths in?”
and i am like .. WTF!
I said “Yes it was empty”
What i really wanted to say was
"No it had some undergarments in it, which were probably yours. See this is one of my secrets, I like mixing my personal laundry with other persons clothes in a washer because there is nothing as satisfying as knowing that your own undergarments and cloths are mixed with someone else’s laundry in the same washer. It is even better if there are unknown stain marks on the clothes - doubles the fun "

Secondly,
When you are waiting for the elevator, someone else will come along and push the elevator button (just to make sure). Yes that means that I am stupid and i dont know how an elevator works, i have no clue that you have to press this button with the little yellow light to make the elevator come. How fortunate i am that i was joined by a person of higher intelligence and IQ who did me a great favor by pressing that button, rightly assuming that i was a total A$$***** and had been standing here for someone to arrive and “operate” the elevator, and to add insult to injury the person would start hitting the button every 10 seconds or so, because he read in some science journal that if you push the button more than once the elevator actually arrives faster, and the harder you push the quicker it arrives
So what are some of your similar enlightening experiences in your daily life…
maybe be the person was missing some clothes so he decided to ask ?
and i’am guilty of pushing the button for the elevator while someone else is waiting.. just because i don’t use an elevator everyday and don’t like missing out on any opportunity of missing out on the elevator ‘fun’ ride

yes its been a looong time
i do come here once in a while but afraid to post
very few of the oldies are around and the atmosphere in cafe has totally changed
well - isnt that what we used to say a few years ago
during the golden age of cafe, with AQ, Emmo, Shikki and the rest
I guess its the norm - every couple of years cafe changes its skin
and yeah its ticks me off to see a thread on on the first page even after a couple of days
just speaks volumes about the current traffic here
In the good old days the thread would disappear and go on to page 2 in a few hours if it was not a QUALITY thread
I usually start off with saying “I want to let you know that I am recording this call, and anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law…”
after the “WHAT.. and EXCUSE ME!!!..” they try to repeat their intro and i go like
“Okay whats your name and day time telephone number that you can be reached at”
and this one;
You know those ATM machines in the banks, there are usually like 3 or 4 in a row and people queue up in a single line, often behind the machine in the center
So this other day during rush hour we were all lined up, about 5 or 6 persons, and this dude just walks in and stands by himself and as soon as a machine became available he walked up with his card in his hand
This little old lady in front me was visibly pissed and told him “Sir you have to line up here, BEHIND us”
and this guy (with this innocent look on his face) “Oh - so this one line is for all 3 machines I thought you were all lined up for the machine in the middle”
