Not really surprising for anyone who had met him or worked with him but I thought the way it was written was hilarious
Steve Colls new book Ghost Wars has an amusing anecdote
a description of Nawaz Sharif as described by senior US officials as āan
unusually dull, muddled politicianā prone to āa bovine placid gaze in
private messages, where he sometimes read awkwardly from note cardsā
Haris: The book is basically about 9/11...it had some other interesting bits about attempts by the CIA to capture Osama in 1999 and how they trained a Pak commando team..
Umer: Well its rare for a book to include what senior US officials thought of Pakistani leaders. I would say the only other book to mention is the Pakistan papers.
