any system can be abused - whether khilafat or monarchy or democracy. Only democracy has proven it works in current times atleast in some countries whereas all other systems clearly favor a small number of autocrats whether you call them caliph or king or dictator

your argument is weak because even in democracy you don’t have 10 leaders you have 1, in US the president is commander in chief the leader call him what you want, he has the final say.

in caliphate they have walis who have powers for their provinces independent of the caliph so your assumption of it being autocratic is based on what? who knows.

democracy is not best system and it does not work majority of the time you only have to look here in pakistan for its failure.
