What style of kameezes to be expected in the next 2-4 months

Salam,

I have a friend who will be travelling to pakistan in about 2 months time. I would like to know what is the fashion that is showing up and will be in full bloom in the next 2-4 months time.

I heard from a few ppl that short kameezes are gonna be making a comeback, is that true. Pls fashion gurus help those who are not in touch with the fashion world.

yea ive heard that A-lines will be out and shorter kameezes not too short but normal length will be in. But i sooo hope thats not true i havent even had the chance to wear A-line kameezes yet! :(

I live in pakistan and ppl here are enjoying the longer lengths and flowy shirts…the full floor length shirts probably wont last til winter but for now they are in =next 6 months…but shirts wont go to the short short length too soon as i,m sure most of us dont change a complete wardrobe(well i,m not that lucky) that often so some outfits will be repeated in longer lengths

i,m just a housewife..so I hope i,ve been some help…:blush:

definitely longer shirts are here to stay for atleast this spring summer and autumn winter. however the tent style shirt might slowly evolve into a much structured long shirt. fashion week recently conculded here saw a mila jula rujhan, meaning some designers were uber short wheereas others displayed the same long tent like silohutte. another thing the ones showed very short were designers like kami rokni and zara shahjahan, always experienting, while elan, sobia nazir, mohsin ali etc were favouring the loonger hemlines.

As far as my favourite duo sana safinaz are concerened(the style gurus and trend setters) there latest collection for Ensemble Karachi were long long long panelled shirts.

p.s: more fashion weeks hitting pakiland in the first quarter of this year, lots of new trends to watchout for

Yup..long shirts are going to stay this year..though the A lines will not be that flowy they r going to get narrow..some designers are calling 2011 as a transition year...where long will slowly evolve towards short shirts & by 2012 short shirts will be in again...and with short shirts shalwar will be back too...

I don't like the long and flowy......I think they make shorter girls look shorter. I like knee-length and shorter kameezain.

I don't like short shirts..they make u look broader;(

dnt want to fashion get changed,....and its nt changing..yes volomous shrts will be going out of fashion and ftiited and more faminine shrts will be in fashion...........
realy hate short shirts...therez no charme and variety in them
and in present fashion there is lot variety

this is what i like about india ... i saw people wearing whatever they liked ... long shirts, short shirts, anarkali, shalwar, trouser, chooridaar ... nobody seemed to care ... and in pakistan, if you were a shirt 5 inches shorter or longer than what is in fashion, everybody starts telling you how outdated you are!!!

this thread should remind us of how to find our own style according to our body type ... like someone said long and flowy makes them look short, or short shirts make them look wide ... why cant we wear what suits our body-type (and whatever we are in the mood of) without having people tell us we are OUTDATED!

because technically you are outdated if you're not currently following whats fashionable. It's the same in the west too. If you don't care what people say then you're free to wear whatever you want. I personally never make clothes that are in fashion. I just make them normal lengths and styles so that they can be used for the next 5 years.

my chaachi: "hawwwwwwww itni choti kameez .. ajkal larkiyan itni lambi lambi kameezein pehn rahein hein ... itni achi lagti hein ... wo kyun nahi silwaein!!?"

me: bewildered

lol..........btw i would like to add dat when there is lonng shirt then i dont think dat 1 should nt wear dat...i mean its ok to catch a new trend(if it is acceptable)nothing wrong to add 3 or 4 dresses of new trend...the problem is for those who r making their jaheez/bari...
