It is a big topic and you will not get a short answer to cover the topic adequately.
the muslim population in the vast majority want islamic laws, islamic economics and islamic social system. The number 1 obstacle to the people getting this is the tyrant rulers who in effect are agents of america or britian and they enforce a brutal tyranical secular system on the people.
for example of this just look at syria today the people don’t want assad so what does he do sends in the tanks on the people.
egypt when mubrak was kicked out what was first thing western governments said throgh their media tools “oh no the islamic forces will come to power”, this is acknowledgment the governments in west mainly US and britian know the people in region want islamic rule.
The west keeps these agents because if they not there and islamic state replace them the western interest will be finsihed for good no longer will they be able to get cheap resources and play one country of against the other.
Saudi arabia is a monarchy and if you look at basics in islam there is no such thing as a king or queen or royalty it forbidden, look at their poltical actions who provides there security, so to call saudi the islamic model is biggest fraud going well maybe 2nd biggest after asif zardari.
