1. islam is fair to all Muslims though, all muslims are equal according to the quran. so I personally have no prejudice against a totally islamic state, if i was a muslim and lived in an entirely muslim country.

2. Muslims see islam as the perfect religion, so laws according to it doesn’t seem that bad.

your comments have many parts, let me try to cover them all.

1. Yes Islam believes in fairness, not only to muslims but to non-muslims as well. and this is what causes fear in the ranks of kings & king-makers in the Islamic world. Ruler in Islamic world is not entitled to the things they are entitled under secular or whatever developed version of govt we have got today.

2. Muslims in the majority of the muslim world are not allowed to vote for the govt they want, even if they do vote Islamic Govts in, often these ISlamic govt end up with the fate like the Algerians saw in early 90s and what Palestinians saw by electing Hamas.

3. In Past, there has been few, the Era Led of the Companions (Rightly Guided Caliphs) is ideal, then comes the monarchy where and then we had some small periods here and there When Islamic rule can be seen in form of Omar Bin Abdul Aziz, are few to name although more names can be provided. In today’s world, the Turkish Govt can be an example, where the ISlamists took over the govt and they set the country on the path of development and prosperity. The same dream we Pakistanies have.

4. No Mughals right from the start where not Islamic, they were muslims but not Islamic, as a matter of fact, Kings like Akber had their own religion which was a mix of Islam and Hinduism.

5. It would utopia, as Islamic Shraiah has two basic things, 1) Justice for all 2) oppression for none any law based on these two would guarantee peace and prosperity.
