in this so called online relationship, he never bothered to look at a pic/skype with her? trust me 16 year olds look much much younger than 22 year olds. 16 year old grls are at 11th/12th grade level (they look like babies) but a 22 yr old grl looks a little bit older. i know some ppl would like to differ but from my personal experience i can tell 16 yr old from a 22 yr old.

Seriously? Is it that inconceivable to you that girls can look older than their age?

For the OP–if the dude isn’t in Pakistan, he should disconnect right away. Keep ALL proof that she said she was 22 in case anything happens.
