India never had influence over the US or Afghanistan to begin with...they just tried really hard only to get snubbed by the West....now they are back home licking their wounds.
India doesn't have any influence over US or Afghanistan ;)
But Pakistan is the "ally" in war on terror and they have been screaming about the 100 consulates India has in Afghnaistan .... what has US or Afghanistan done about it ... has US or Afghanistan asked India to reduce the 100 consulates. Time to ponder on this one !!!
What it has done is take Pakistan’s position on the Taliban snubbing Indias. If or when the Taliban become partners to the government, bye bye Indian consulates
oh believe me i have an idea

Yaar Rajey,
Gul sun Tusaan,
Why do you get so worked up about India. Like any other country, they have interest, and Afghanistan is a near neighbour for them. They tried a policy, which seems to have failed. It doesn't mean Pakistan is succesful.
I know for a fact that there influence is exagerated. In Eastern Afghanistan, where all these counsalates are situated , is a Pashtun region. Can't see the Indians making headway with these people.

I agree with khan saab, why does pakistan have to get agitated with Indian so called influence in Afghanistan. If fact, after collapse of the Soviets, India has little or no influence in Afghanistan. Pakistanis are getting paranoid about the Indian influence, because Pak has always treated Afghanistan as their back yard rather than a country. But, Pakhtoons and Talibans are Deobandis and Deobandi sects headquater is in India. May be Indians can do Deobandi Ungli to talibans.
Ifs and butts aside … we are talking about the situation right now … if they were influenced by Pakistan … they would have asked India to close the consulates …
As for taking position on Taliban … we all can see what is happening on that position … Mullah Baradar is “in the house” and Haqqani missed the boat … guess Pakistan is being heard and is being “saved” from the Talibans

============================================ Hm, you ask others to reply? when you get a reply do you have the courtesy to acknowledge and admit you were totally wrong? See below;
Admit your mistake. That would be the honorable thing to do.

Again your living in your own world
not knowing what is happening :)
even FRANCE and GERMANY and other Western powers bow to USA and
their tyrannic demands......and you think that India is not listening to USA?
:D you are such poor fellow with little knowledge.
really? what are France and Germany bowing to USA for? any substance behind that or is it a 'feeling' you got?
Go back to Bush years and see how much France resisted and refused the USA. Go look at how many times the German chancellor snubbed US entreaties. WTH are you talking about man? Remember the Bushies got so sore at France's non-cooperation that they wanted to rename French fries to Freedom fries? Happyheart should be familiar with happy meals my buddy!
India is still very much in Afghanistan helping them put in developmental infrastructure.
Pakistan’s price for doing their job was to seek a face saving gesture from the London club. Aren’t you the least bit embarrassed that such a negotiation is even necessary?
