hi guppies , my sister is getting married in november in lahore , she is wearing red lehnga with little combination of green colour on her barat . i’m living in saudia arabia and i’m going to pakistan just one week before her wedding , i have no time to make my outfits for her wedding so my mom and sister is making them for me . i also want to wear something red with some other colour combination so what do u ppl think is it ok ??? what should i wear ?? what style and what material ??? i’m 27 years old , fair complexion , 5 ,5 hight and on heavier side cause of my new born and latest c setion , so what do u ppl think which style suits me and what should i wear on my sister’s barat … also post some pics so that i can get good idea and also i can email them to them … i’m making sari for walima in gold and tarquoise colour because my sister is wearing turquise lehnga on her walima .. thanks … waiting for ur quick replies cause i have no much time …

^Yeah, I think it doesnt do anything for the bride OR the person wearing the same color. The best thing is to let her stand out on her big day and allow yourself to look different as well. There are so many pretty color combinations! Right now really long kameezes with memoni pajamas (trouser-style loose pants) are in, why not try something like that?

I really do not like it when people wear red on shaadi. At least do a combination not PURE RED RED.....also please do not wear a shaadi lengha ...it takes away from the bride... for my sister's i had done red and sea green..had more sea green than red and looked nice. The latest fashion in Pakistan is angraka style ...maybe you can get a churidar under. Or you can do a nice shalwar kameez...they always suit any figure!

is there a reason u want to match you sister's colors?
i went totally opposite of what she was wearing that way we BOTH stood out a lot more
plus all over red should be for the bride
i went to a shaadi once and the mom of the bride wore red and it didn't look good at all

Maybe her sister is okay with her wearing the same colors?
Barbei doll...alot of girls wear their valima/wedding jora on the sister's wedding day... if possible u can do that, if not, just wear something totally heavy...after all ur allowed to :)

well when i was getting married then a close member of my family did the same thing u r going to do(no offense plss)and i kinda didnt like that .sooooo dear if u really want 2 wear same colors my suggestion is to keep the shades different then those of ur sis.if she is wearing red u can go for something like maroon or may be shocking pink n for valima u can do darker shades of blue .

actually i'm the only ister of her and she wants me to wear something red , not exactly the same shade which she is wearing and not the same combination , thats why i asked with u ppl . on valima day her main colour is pink with with a little combination of turquoise but in my sari there is no pink colour , only tarquoise and gold .... if u have any other nice pictures of some other colour combinations plz post the pics and style .... my wedding lehnga was majenta and walima lehnga was blue and sea green and i dont wanna wear them on her wedding cause i have already wore them on my devar's wedding ..
