What should I make with this fabric??

Hey. I found some really cool fabric today and HAD to get it :jano: It’s beaded, raw silk. I think making a normal kameez is too straightforward and wont really accentuate its features.. does any one have any ideas?? I was thinking a dress or something.. but what kind??

Help will be appreciated

here tis is.. its a pretty thin fabric, abit crepe

You could get a plain beige/gold jamawar and make a bodice out of it..and make this the bottom of an anarkali.. wear it with a fitted churidaar.

Re: What should I make with this fabric??

that sounds hot gina!

Sorry I dont know what jamawar, or anarkali are… explain?? Are there any pictures of what you mean. Thankyou though, as the post above reads, I bet it is hot! =D

and when you say beige or gold.. the thread on the fabric is yellow, and it has small patches of yellow sequins, i dont think it shows up on the pic that well.. would this go with gold?

Jamawar is a fabric.. very pretty!

Here’s an anarkali:

Is it yellow? It looks beige…the motifs look too big to make into a regular kameez..

Re: What should I make with this fabric??

motifs r indeed big for a regular kameez. Since the motifs are big, go for a self print jamawaar and u can use this material on the neck and sleeve ends as piping. Also depends on your height and structure; if you are slim, then definitely go for the anarkali idea - it will simply accentuate the beauty of the fabric.
