I also moved when i got married but luckily hubs had a lot of friends from the masjid and we started getting together as families and i am friends with their wives. Then i started meeting others in the masjid whose husbands arent regulars (most of the paki community isnt very regular in the masjid) but we kinda started meeting and i have made some good friends this way. Maybe you can do the same through some cooking classes etc.
