I am a student of Quetta, Balochistan. We have some reserved seats in UET Lahore and other places. Every year, an entry test is held and students are given seats on merit. I had done my F.Sc in 2003 and obtained 860 marks. In march 2004, the entry test was held and I opted for Electrical UET Lahore (There is only one seat) but I could not get that. Now I have been admitted to the Chemical engineering department (It has also one seat in UET Lahore). I am confused what should I do. I can wait for the next year’s entry test or I can go for chemical engineering. Kindly help me out. Also tell me about this field and its job prospects etc. Has a chemical engineer equal job, payscale, chances to prosper like an electrical engineer?

only if you are interested in the perticular department then go into it. if you have no interest it may make things very difficult for you.
as far as I know. It really doesnt matter which filed you opt for yourself you have to be competent to have a good salary, career development and anything you can think of.
