So i tried on a naath..and i could not bear the pain for even a few seconds. it started giving me a running nose and drooping my left eye down! is that normal?
what are alternatives? do all naaths hurt?

Re: What should I do?
don't wear one!
Re: What should I do?
Maybe this naath is too heavy? If you really want to wear one, perhaps a lighter one?
(I personally don't like the really large naath's as they remind me the rings used to lead cows).
Re: What should I do?
wear a small ring one.. I think the smaller ones look delicate and cute
Re: What should I do?
is it clip on or a real nath? if your nose is pierced go for a real one, and a super thin simple one. I originally bought a clip on one because i thought the pierced ones would be too thick to fit in (indian nose rings are usually way too thick for me) but it was SO painful!! Luckily my nose is pierced so i'm getting a new one made for pierced noses.
Re: What should I do?
Wow, if it was pulling one side of your face down them it must've been one helluva heavy nath! Either go for a thinner, lighter one, or wear a delicate little nose ring! You could try a clip on one, but they hurt like mad and sometimes be clearly obvious that it's a clip-on one and not a proper nath! S'up to you! :D
Re: What should I do?
it was a clip on, If a clip on hurts than i dont wanna think about the pain a real one brings
Re: What should I do?
^real ones aren't painful.. it would be the same pain you get wearing an earring. but clip ons hurt soo much! I tried it on for 5 minutes and i couldn't stand it!
Re: What should I do?
Ohh right, yeah those clip-ons are killers, even tops for ears hurt real bad! :( Like Farisha said, you wouldn't feel any pain if your wore a normal nath, it's just like wearing jewellery in any other piercing! If you really like the look of the clip-on one then you could try and find a similar design but for an actual nath that goes through the piercing!
Re: What should I do?
oo thanks guys ! i just cant risk the possibility of tearing my makeup off for a naath! ill get my nose pierced a few months before and wear a real LIght one!
Re: What should I do?
**I think pierced ones do look better than clip ons. **
Re: What should I do? Nath Wearing problems
can you really tell who is wearing a clip on though? anyhow i think your nose was sensitive to it. I mean when you sneeze have you ever noticed your eyes water? yes... so it's normal for your eyes to be bothered while your nose was responding to the pressure with a runny nose. Try to find a real one that's thin and try that route but if not just omit it all together.
Re: What should I do? Nath Wearing problems
Don't wear one....i used to think i defo waant to wear a naath but now lookin at pics a lot of ppl dont and still look awesome
Re: What should I do? Nath Wearing problems
My Mom, and Mother in law are pressuring me! They want me to look traditional.,,POO BANI PARWATHI status
i have a low tolerance for pain! u guys dont wanna know how hard it is getting threaded !
Re: What should I do? Nath Wearing problems
^lol! so cute. You could try finding a super thin/ light clip on one, but in the end the pinching on your nostril WILL get to you before the nights over. I have a pretty high pain tolerance (i get excited about getting shots and stuff) but I still couldn't stand the clip on pulling at my nose.. I took it off after 5 minutes and my nose was red and sore. :/ thankfully my nose is pierced so I'm getting a real one and it won't bug me much iA. Your naath should be the last of all things to ruin the thrill of your big day!
