What Should Happen
The current anti-government movement has been the strongest movement of last couple of decades and has been initiated and sustained without the two stalwarts of politics Benazir and Nawaz Sharif.
Its the best time for PML (N) and PPP to ditch these two and move on without them. If this happens we can expect that the two leading political parties will be more “democratic”.
What Will Happen
Most likely mooterma Benazir will strike a deal with Musharraf. PPP will help Musharraf in being re-elected from current assemblies possibly by abstaining from voting. At present she is likely waiting and will strive for larger part of the pie.
