When I forgot hubby's birthday, I apologized profusely and threw him a big surprise superhero-themed birthday party the following year. :D

but seriously a sincere apology should do…i mean im a girl and i suck at remembering dates… so im really forgiving if someone forgets mine…but the trick is i dont let anyone forget mine…usually a week before my birthday i start reminding ppl i love that its my birthday in a week…no one forgets my bday that way and i dont get upset that someone did
however, in ur case just say it slipped ur mind cuz everything is so new and ur so preoccupied with thoughts of her beauty, her personality, the things she says the things she does that u forgot the date

Tell her that "forgetting" her birthday was all part of your plan to surprise her. Tell her that it's not much of a "surprise" if a person gets wished on their birthday because that's what they expect. Rather it's more of a surprise when you do something different from their expectation. (And then get her something REALLY nice). Maybe she'll buy the twisted argument...(fingers crossed)

have an open chat to try and move beyond it and then do what is needed or if there is no reasonable expectation, then he should let it go.
people make mistakes, and others should let it go
if he has done what he can to address the situation and she can't get over it, it is no longer his problem, but hers.

u can do 2 things.
- tell her its just a freaking day, its not like she grew an inch or two on that day that calls for celebration. and then gift her gucci ghari. (it might be end of the relationship)
or - dont talk to her for a week. if she likes u she will give u a call that she has forgiven u
(many girls like jerks for a reason…they find these kinda attitude very manly. unfortunately for smart girls there is a limit u can play jerk)
lol. bday for us girls is just a way to figure out how much u care about us.

How could you forget that in this time and era of technology - what happened to good old mobile reminders and even now we get b'day alerts from social networking sites - what else you need on God's earth :)
In my hey days - I made a small software , which used to send AGBeM ( Auto generated b'day email) to my contact list on their respective b'days.. try to get your hands on something like that !
we dont need to remember it - we just need a bloody reminder on that given day :D

lol. a calender marked with TheNoodle's bday, her honay walay MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL, his cat, his parakeets, his niece, his nephew, his car's, his ex hence everyone's birth dates.
we dont need to remember it - we just need a bloody reminder on that given day :D
lol...but then he will need a reminder to remind him that he needs a reminder to be reminded of a reminder. :D

It been a month. Sheesh. Unless you have jumped her bones, you don't have to worry about it. If you have jumped her bones, well then you done ****ed up. Essentially you have made the statement that I care enough to sleep with you but I am not emotionally invested enough to remember days important to you.

women forget things like that too. i agree with sahar, surprise her with a beautiful, sentimental gift on the weekend just to make up for it, something she would love according to her likes(you would know her better).
