say i got a job recently.. I am on probation period for 3 months.. meaning they can fire me nething if they think i aint the right person for the job within 3 months.. and during this three months i have to .. like i really HAVE to go to pakistan (overseas) for something.. Do i tell the employers before starting the job that i have to travel? or just tell them a week before i have to travel? if i tell them before startin the job they mite just be like … NEXXXT :frowning:

Yeah tell 'em mate. Plus, there aren't that many people in Brissy that they can hire anyway.

Tell the real reason - truth always is the best, especially in Australia.

They do understand - atleast the one's I have met.

best would be when you are offered the position and joined, let them know ASAP, letting them know a week before will be awkward. mind you most companies dont offer paid holidays during probation period.

Be honest upfront ... tell them you have a prior commitment. Mojority of the companies will work you, as long as you are not going away for several months.
