yeah its really weird, what also surprises me is ppl marrying of girls to the quran in rural areas in order to prevent family wealth and land from going somewhere. It seems like rural areas all over the world have some ignorance issues
IF animal sex can be legal in Scandinavian countries .. then what’s the problem with marrying animals.. i don’t know what this world is up too..well actually humans ..
I heard about a lady being married to the Quraan and thought it was a joke... so I guess it wasn't. :(
So basically what does that even mean, being married to the Quran - do you live like the nuns? and cannot marry ever? I'd appreciate it if someone could clear that up, thanks.
well X2, its pretty much the same deal as the things people do to ward off evil eye/remove bad influences etc. from the sounds of it, it is a ceremony to fool the offending spirit into leaving the girl alone. i personally think it is ridiculous and is probably some witch doctor milking ignorant villagers.
my problem though is that some people think it is okay to attribute ignorance and backwardness as characteristic of other peoples faiths, while get all defensive when the same is done to theirs.
if you read my post, i never said it was hinduism at fault. i said religion is not at fault. it's CORRUPTED no doubt.
that is what you believe. and it is offensive to say so to hindus.
just as it is offensive to muslims for me to say the person you consider a prophet wasnt really a prophet, no doubt.
if you wish to talk about what you think of other peoples beliefs even if it is offensive to them, it is only fair you be okay when others tell you similar things about your faith as well.
