What are the odds for a Lal Masjid victory?
I havent taken a punt in a long time, and I support the GoP 200% against these Islamists, but I could do with a big win.

If lal masjid honchos are simply allowed to leave, it will solve the problem temporarily but this snake will read its ugly head again, if not here, then somewhere else. Some other madarrasah or maulvi may decide to adopt similar tactics under delusions of grandeur. However, if they are dealt with in a strict manner, something akin to a 'chitrol' (literal or figurative), that will prevent this from happening again for some time.

I put the over-under of lal masjid terrorist survivors at 5%. If anyone saw all those tanks and APCs on GEO and ARY, you would know why I put it at 5%. Those terrorists stand no chance.

Asking for bloodshed is not right. It would be better if the mullahs are humiliated rather than become "martyrs".

They need to be captured like the rats thatthey are, tried in courts like petty criminals, and given apopropriate punishments, the head honchos need to hang, the follower roaches need punishments based on their roles. No need to turn this scum into martyrs of idiots

this should be simple. if the military cannot face down a bunch of mullas on steroids what good are they? just arrest the mullas and let the girls go (with heavy fines and jail terms ofcourse). The mullas will ge their dues.

If those apparently surrendering are released and pardoned, the Lal Masjid ideology will survive, there are heavy odds in favour of that.
If we talk about it right now as it is, they have been dispersed and are surrounded so Lal Masjid as we've known over the past stands little chance right now.

Exactly! It has to be realized by the authorities that those being pardoned and released are highly dangerous and deceiving individuals who could cause any amount of damage. They shouldnt be released at all. They can also be used by other ambitious mullah leaders. Chitrol is highly needed!
