What nationality are your spices?

So we’ve done the carbohydrates like rice and we’ve pondered over fruits like mangoes but what about those ingredients no red blooded desi can live without?

That’s right. Round 3: Which spices are better. Indian spices/masala vs Pakistani masala.

So i guess this may count as a betrayal :teary1: of my Indian roots but I prefer Shan masala  for most things as does my family. Especially when it comes to chicken, fish or any type of meat for biryani. For vegetable based dishes we do use MDH but overall mostly its all about the Shan masala.** So Pakistani masala wins.**

Shan masala rocks. I kind of wish Karachi had a Shan masala theme park or they had guided tours of the Shan masala factory with free food sampling.
I’ve heard it doesn’t exist but i’m optimistic one day it will.

I guess im just a bad unpatriotic person. To add extra icing to this cake of betrayal i also prefer pakistani dramas and songs. Feels good to have made this confession.

Re: What nationality are your spices?

I think you have hit it on the nail. When it comes to vegetable masala I think India does a better job as far as spices go. But it comes to gosht khori shan is the best.

Re: What nationality are your spices?

United Nations has their own masala brand? Do peacekeeping forces take it with them when they go?

Re: What nationality are your spices?

Valid points. I agree.

Re: What nationality are your spices?

I see what you did there. Very creative use of hashtags. Loose motions part is not fun at all.
There should be a chilli eating competition on GS to see who can eat the most green chillies without getting their tongue burnt. Now that’s a true spicy competition.

Re: What nationality are your spices?

Not sure anyone takes masala with them when they have to go.

Re: What nationality are your spices?

^what a bland existence that would be. Seriously a packet of masala can fit into the pocket easily.
