What makes you want to perform better and better at work…
Is it the pat on the back from the Big Boss…or parents If you are a student?
Is it wanting to reach your financial goals…wanting the boat /bike/car whatever from your bonus(considering that you get it during this recession)
Trying to hold on to dear job in this recession…and not having to receive the pink piece of paper:(…(okay now I know.. this thread is getting gloomier by the second…I better stop)
Maybe its the self satisfaction of a job well done…and you want to perfect it more?
What Motivates you to wake you and go to work/school?
best motivating force is the people you help - your clients or patients, students or the public in general.
running the day's show is a part and parcel of it all, earning and living.
but, finding a sense of meaning in one's career and/or current work position can instill a sense of selflessness and a wish for a consistent increase in one's expertise.
it prevents burn out and helps stay on, with a org, as a good example.
Right now I am unemployed and not studying either. I think after this long period i would be the most grateful and diligent worker. I am motivated to make some money, which will finance my other goals, meeting new people, and learning new skills. I never really thought of myself as super social but ever since i became stuck at home 24/7 with no car I really desire to see another face beside my own in the mirror. Also i really like to help people and it really makes me feel like i have a purpose in life. Right now I just feel like a waste of resources and it makes me sad.
I am motivated by a desire to be the best i can be. I know its a cheesy old saying but i follow the "no retreat no surrender code".
I'm a part time student, a car mechanic and an amatuer boxer.
Now i aspire to all the old world values of friends and fammilies and to be your archetype hero. My number one motivation is this fact that i should always strive to be one step closer to returning home to pakistan. But even to return there would only be the sart of a new adventure for me, come one you need to be really good if youre gonna survive in the auto markets of Pakistan!
