I sold my HTC one (m8) this morning. Bought a Moto G as the replacement. Second time i’ve ever bought a moto in my life. This is my 7th phone so far of 2014.
I’m not impressed =/ I hate the way it feels.
What phone do you have? If you have an iphone, don’t bother replying unless you’re gonna smash it for me and take a picture.
Htc one m8 was much better , and i hv one . I think htc one m8 is still the best android mobile
But i wanna buy something other than htc before eid, may b z2 sony
for me, nothing beats HTC's build quality. the only other brand i had was Nexus (LG, Samsung and HTC). I would never try Samsung as long as it is built out of Plastic and is using TouchWIZ (which is pretty crapppy). I would recommend you either go for LG or try OPO (if you can get an invite).
Just wanted to make sure if you tried any other ROM's with Samsung. I am not a big fan of plastic but I will take something I know that works instead of something that dies on you within 3 months. I used to own a HTC EVO 4G will never try it again just because of it.

and in my case, HTC has never died on me, have used 3-4 HTC models yet (Nexus One, HTC Desire, HTC One, HTC One M8) and i loved each model. Personally, I have seen more samsung phone's battery exploding than any other phone. If you head over to reddit.com/r/android then you would be able to find at least 4-5 cases of samsung batteries exploding in last 1-2 years compared to any HTC phone which i have never seen exploded.
Regarding ROMS. I used to be a big fan of rooting a device and using deifferent ROMS. I still do it (right now running a custom rom on M8). But the thing is that I want to buy a phone with a good OUT-OF-THE-BOX experience.
Moreover, I prefer a unibody with no removable battery. With removable battery it is easy to turn off your phone if it get stolen (just remove the battery). With non-removable battery, your phone can't be turned off (if you have put xposed module to disable power off options while screen is lock, i wish this feature comes out-of-the-box and i don't have to install xposed framework) so you can always track down your phone if it is lost.
Its a very subjective decision but to be honest, I don't like samsung because it feels as if i am holding a toy in my hand.
