Recently one of my friends brought her sister an experience day at a chocolate making thing. I dont know how to desrcibe it, but basically, her sister got to spend the day making chocolate! FUN!

You said something about good food? Does your husband like learning? Perhaps get him an experience day learning how to cook good food?

you can throw him a surprise party at his favourite restaurant and invite his close friends/family, or have one at home and cook his favourite foods. one is never too old for a good old surprise party!
