Why no strong good politicians are generated in Pakistan?
Maybe the ‘politicians’ at higher level do not want to move aside and do not want new person come and show talent.
We all see it, politics is like mini monarchy.
Bhutto family started this tradition. Altaf Hussain, Nawaz Sharif followed it. Imran Khan has clung to it for about 15 useless years and finally for the reason PPP and PML disappointed people, Imran Khan comes in to the light.
On the other hand even general public/awam love to worship single person and identify the party by one person no matter how much incompetent/impotent that person may be. General public sometimes get fooled by R,oti/Kapra/Makan slogan, sometimes by ethnicity and sometimes other big promises without any concrete plan.
Finally, media portrays one key person all the time and has to abide by what party leader dictates.
Oh! the generals also love to be glued to the chair as long as they can when take over the country.
ummmm... our businesspeople and industrialists exploit their employees and tax collectors... tax collectors collude with those businessmen to defraud government.... our government tries to find loopholes to gain more wealth and power..... our lawyers help finding loopholes and buying judges.... our judges have price tags... people feel scared of visiting a police station to lodge a complaint... our hospitals cannot cure our complaints because the doctors need 'private practice' patients... pharma companies bribe the doctors with overseas trips, often including Umra to Makkah... the makkah of our maulanas is to incite hatred in their students... our teachers never try to 'teach' but only do the checkboxes..................................................................................

Basically you are saying 'Away Ka Awa Hi BigRa Hua Hai'. True.
These kind of general problems are present in many countries. Bribery has a different name in those societies. Also, Tax evasion, bad treatment of patients etc. is not so uncommon in many other societies. Even where good politicians are created.
If a good politician is allowed to surface every now and then, these problems may be somewhat mitigated.
Beacuse ppl have chotay dimagh (short time memory) and baday dil (to forgive and accept again & again the same looters)

The main reason is generals kicking out elected government contineously and grab the power from back door in illegal manner and in violation of constitution of Pakistan. Unless screening process for the next at least 10 years is not allowed through ballot in impartial elections, the same people will continue because of victims of dictatorship. This is not a rocket science. People are not fool, they vote what they think is right.
^ So these are the generals who request democratic politicians to do corruption and enhance their bank balances instead of serving the voters. I can't believe that democratic governments require permission of generals to even repair the roads. How many nafal sawaab Kiyani/Pasha will get, if Zardari Govt not opt for repairing Roads in Lyari and flood affected areas of Sindh?

Many politicians are creation of generals. And yes they were groomed, corrupted to the core and continued in power wheather civilian governments or dictatorships.
Zardari is gone in next elections. I hope Sindh will get the honest leaderhip who will work for the rights and progress of people of Sindh.
generals come from Pakistan to and reflect Pakistani mentality. We can blame generals all we want but we don't really come out and protest when they conquer our country time and again.
IMO, we do not need a politician with great vision, intelligence and strength. We only need people with good 'niyyat' and then it is up to US to support such people.
Lack of continuous electing process and interference from establishment by creating so-called patriotic (just to have their share in the power)... If Pakistan sees 3 or 4 elections after every 5 years, then new breed of better politicians will be ready to lead and dynasty of political clan will be weaken...
Interruption make the crooks win the sympathy and that make people vote for them and then suffer....
So far what we have are;
1- Everyone is bad.
2- Politicians are reflective of the society.
3- No smooth terms. Tenure of a govt. gets interrupted often.
4- Generals stick to power themselves in lieu of politicians.
I also wanted to point out that politicians themselves do not want others to come forward.
In some places, the high level candidate also is chosen by people. Meaning, the parties bring different people in front of the people to choose who is supposed to be the best among these candidates.
But in Pakistan, no real choices are given. The control freaks in parties do not let others to come forward.
