Well,
I always wanted to know what attracts people to the dramas we see at Sony or Star..I must admit that i have been hooked on and off (whenever time permits) to a few of them not because of their ‘amazingly unrealistic’ story lines but because of the various tactics employed by the characters to woo, seduce, get back at, embarass, love, take revenge etc and i marvel at the tactics they actually come up with!
The things that i enjoy the most are:
The most inappropriate heavily embellished saris worn by the characters in the most traumatic or distressing situations
Twin like - Look alikes (can vary in number) strolling near your home, with the same hair and even voice!
Adarshwadi bahus ready to give up their lives to fulfill the promise of leaving their susarals on their deaths
Villianous aunties sitting in their drawing rooms looking like drag queens in the middle of the day wearing heavily embellished barely there saris
Sons and fathers and daughters and mothers of literally the same age, making one wonder whether they were born one or two years apart!
100 crore rupees just lying around to be given away in charity
*]Life after death ‘punar janam’ portrayed in the oddest way with the character being born again an hour after his/her death and celeberates his/her 18th birthday within 24 hours and then somehow reunites with his old family!
These are just a few…I’m sure there are a lot more which some of you guppans might think of…do share…
i completely agree with you but dont u think we still are hooked to these dramas? but i just wathc them for time pass coz i dont have any other better thing to do after work so i just watch dramas:D and trust me i some times already know what is going to happen in next sequence:D coz they all have same story line coz only one person is making it EKTA KAPOOR:mad:
Well yes, addie…i have viewed quite a few, when there’s nothing to do…The most faithful viewers are the shop keepers who sell bangles and fashion jewelery as their trends are all inspired by what these drama characters wear..like we have kashish ki bangles and kum kum bindis and what not…
