Coahing itself is a profession and needs a whole new frame of mind.
Not every great player or even a great cricketing brain can make a great coach.
A coach has not only to evaluate what a player is doing wrong but he has to go one step ahead and see “why” he is comitting one particular mistake again and again.
Then again, coaches learn from experience just like players do.
Hence there is currently hardly any great Desi coach.
