Quwaali and ghazals, a lot of naats and sometimes romantic solo songs :)
I prefer group songs though, something me and the troops can march through towns with like...... Shabaaz shabaaz kalander!

Speaking of poetry anybody listen to Potowari sher? I:E poetic songs from the Potowar region of Northern Pakistan?
Trust me there is no more valour in the world than that found in the shers (poems) of the men of Potowar!
I'ts a classical heavy metal style of song very popular with young men of the region. I was born and bred in the lush valleys of Potowar you see...... if Ranjaa had been from Potowar then Heer would have stood no chance ;)
