Dunno FG maybe you can tell me about that since YOU are the one in the mod forum and not ME!

Dear FF, I can bring the stars from the galaxy, the moon of Jupiter, latest style shalwar qameez from Anarkali but PLEASE do not ask me what goes on in the mod forum. I have taken the oath to it's secrecy.

Goody. My other admirers can spill the mod forum secrets you stick to everything else you have offered :D sans the danda and dent in my head ofcourse.

Nazo, do you add tea bags to cold water?
[/QUOTE]

Yup. I put the tea bags into cold water, put it on the cooker and leave it till it bubbles. We have one of those steel kettles, so it's perfect. It's really strong tea. I can't drink it the way you make tea.

we change every half year..

at the moment we’re using Dilmah.. yummy.. i brew mine english style. Boil the water, add it to the cup with the teabag… warm milk for bout 2-3 minutes, then add it to the tea… :k:

i just read all the replies..

what u could do is add teabags to a teapot.. add boiling hot water to the teapot.. let it rest for a bit… heat up some milk and then add that to the pot as well… let the tea rest for awhile (add sugar to it if u want..) and thats it

another way that works well for me (yes im the family tea maker :k: ) u could heat up the milk.. add the milk to the cup (so before the teabag and water)

on the side, add boiling water to a teabag(s) and let that rest for a bit.. then add the mixture to the cup with mikl in it… this works really well too and u get an awesome colour

Tetley tea bags :jhanda:

Good thing is you didn’t call it chai!

The correct way of making chai is -
Boil a few tbsp of water, add one tea bag (that red, green and white packet wala). Let it simmer for a min, add a mug of milk and ilaichi :o, let it boil for 3 or 4 min. Remove from heat, mug meiN daalo, three tsp of sugar and you’re done :o

Patti dho ke peene wale log! :snooty:

^ Sabah, use the same brand here, I think its Indian brand, well we do it desi style .. boil water first, then add tea bag, rigt now I am using loose chai from Pak, is the best btw, then comes sugar and milk, boil till ubali comes, I like ilaichi, have also seen sounf and cinnamon stick being used, its quite heathy ahd tasty.

Indian brand? Erm shouldn't be I double check everything I buy. I'm not a big fan of masala chai or ginger tea, its too watery for me :o

well, personally i don’t like tea…but my siblings make seperate tea (english style)

n i’ve heard that boiling tea n milk together is not good for health …is it true …???

I use both loose and bag tea depending on time constraints. Made very dark and very strong!

Currently have in stock Red Rose in bags, Chinese green tea, Black tea with and without currents, and Egyptian spearmint.

My wife doesn't drink tea frequently, so I normally just make a cup at a time using an infuser. If having company, I use a French press to prepare, and then poor it into the china pot for service!

Peace To All Who Read This...

We use Tetley tea bags. I find it’s the strongest out of the various brands I’ve tried including Lipton or Tepal Danedar, which is ok if I use 10 spoonfuls of it.

We brew it English style. Let it sit for a good ten minutes and add half 'n half or condensed milk to our cups.

My dad likes doodh patti, I make it for him on the side. Bring milk to a boil, add tea bags to it, cook for a couple of minutes. Add your sugar and you’re done. I don’t like tea if it’s been cooked for too long.

I like my tea strong, whenever I am outside I ask to double up on tea bags.

Boil water in electric kettle.
Kill time by flipping channels.
Discover that the simpsons is on. Get glued to tv.
Revisit kettle half an hour later, with all the water evaporated.
Refill the kettle.
Boil water in electric kettle.
Stand there impatiently.
Take out the water at the first hint of the water boiling (usually the sound of a soccer riot heard from a distance).
Fill cup with boiling water.
Dunk Tetley teabag, sugar, evaporated milk.
Use spoon to squeeze teabag against the cup's inside walls.
Watch more tea stuff ooze out of teabag and happily stir it in.
Watch tea's colour change.
Discard teabag when youre tired of squeezing or when the colour looks just right, whichever comes first.
Take a sip, savour.
Answer doorbell, greet neighbours.
Come back to an iced tea ten minutes later.
Dunk it in the sink.
Go back to gupshup and talk about it.
