Can this be a poll? Gas, electric or other? (those are hte only two I know).
For those of you who had to go from one to another, was it a difficult change? What are some of teh changes one needs to make if converting?

The only time I used stoves was when I went to uni, my first halls of residence had gas ones but the next place had electric ones...they took ages to warm up and were really frustrating. The ovens in those electric ones were useless too, grill was okay.

at the moment, i hv electric. But I was using gas before and trust me theres a huge difference between the two and the transition was not easy. Boiling water in electric stoves takes ages and I also dont like to fry foods on them, coz either the oil is too hot or not the right temp!
I miss my gas stove!! :(

Gas stoves are better than electric stoves because the electric stoves are not so suitable for desi cooking... :)

Electric...in Canada, most homes have Electric stoves.

i have a gas stovetop and electric range. hate it tho :.
would prefer to have gas for both, as its so much easier to cook!
